Editor For "Kidney Life"
Are you an Editor, or do you think you have what it takes to be an editor?
Have you synergies with renal disease and with renal patients?
Would an income from NKF prove useful?
The NKF is now looking for a suitable person to take over as editor of “Kidney Life” magazine. The person may or may not have previous experience, however what is required is an interest in renal matters, and an empathy with renal patients – plus of course an engaging style of writing. The magazine is published four times a year and consists of 24 pages per issue, a proportion of which are advertisements. Many of the stories contained in the magazine come from patients themselves who write to the editor, however equally the editor is expected to research and source stories of their own.
The chosen applicant will work from home and will be expected to have a phone, computer, Microsoft word and an email address. Knowledge of printing and design is not required – just an ability to use Microsoft Word and handle material storage such as photos and articles.
Once agreed, the magazine goes for printing and for on line publishing. Each issue of the magazine is posted free of charge to 26,000 patients (unless the issue is On-Line only).
Remuneration once agreed will be by virtue of an agreed contract. All agreed expenses will be met by the NKF.
Applications (including a covering letter to Tim Statham (NKF CEO) explaining fully your interest) should be sent to:
